I am a Los Angeles & Southern Utah-based Photographer, and Cinematographer. I've spent a lifetime in the arts with great support from teachers, professors, friends and family. I graduated with degrees in Studio Art, Business Marketing, and and received MFA in Film Production from The Florida State University.
I love being in nature: mountain biking, dirt biking, hiking, snowboarding, camping, boating, or kayaking. There is so much to explore out there and see. I just picked up fishing again, so that's got me a little obsessed. I'm often loading up the truck and heading out to conquer something.
But, there is nothing like conquering a challenging project!
As a professional, I've worked my way up from the bottom on countless Features, Music Videos, and Commercials. As an electrician, gaffer, Cinematographer, Director, or Photographer, there isn't much I haven't seen on set. I definitely have a few tricks up my sleeve, but still with every new project, I continue to grow and learn as an artist and craftsman.
No matter the project's size or scale, I relish the challenge to elevate concepts, stretch time and recourses, and will get scrappy when necessary to make it all happen. I get just as much excitement capturing a great image with a bounce card as I do with a truck full of lights. Knowing when to leave those lights in the truck can often lead to something magical too!
When capturing images, it's often a fleeting moment of truth somewhere between one emotion and another that speaks to me. Sincere, unrehearsed slivers of humanity where the lens settles in the right place, composing just the right moment in time. I like to create an open, relaxed, trusting environment that allows these moments to occur organically.
It's a thrill to collaborate with like-minded people, supporting one another to do our best work for a shared goal. I love being the connective tissue between clients willing to push the envelope and a talented cast & crew with the skills and tools to execute our vision. It's a rush when "wrap" is called, and everyone knows we nailed it!
I'd love the opportunity to share this feeling with you and collaborate on something extraordinary together!
